How can we improve Directory Monitor?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

There is some brief information on deactivating here: https://directorymonitor.com/faq#transfer-unlock-key

There is also a dated article here: https://deventerprise.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/298584-unlocking-directory-monitor

Planning to add a web page for customers to deactivate a machine that is lost or giving problems similar to the pages to upgrade old keys and various other self-management.

This should be possible now as a directory plugin. This will use the creation/modification date on the files to determine the age and possibly touch the dates when the file is detected. Periodic scans will take place to determine ages and and a new event called “Expired” will be created when old files are detected.
