Monitor directory only during specific times
Add an option to allow monitoring a directory only during specific times during the day (such as business hours). Outside of the configured range the monitor will be disabled and no events will be logged or acted upon.
The range should cater for days of the week and times during that day. Would having a month option be useful (to monitor only in January for example)?

Like Jonathan mentioned, we use Directory Monitor to monitor an incoming fax folder. I manually set the program to enable notifications over the weekend. It would be really nice to have an hours of operation feature where I can set it to resume my task from Friday at 5PM to the following Monday before our business hours.
During business hours we have an hourly employee monitoring the folder, but during the weekend we have Directory Monitor send notifications to management of any incoming faxes.
I see this is an old request, but it still sounds like a very useful feature to add to your product.

This would be useful for check the presence of a file that must be created for an ETL process, for example. Let's say the file needs to be delivered between 7am and 7:30am. Directory Monitor could check to see if a new file did not show up and trigger an alert.

Also, as part of the feature, it would be nice if you could just hold the notifications. For example, we use Directory Monitor to alert users of new files in an incoming fax folder. It would be a nice feature if notifications were sent for each new file during the business day (9a-5p), but after 5p notifications were held and only one sent at the start of business (9a) the next day if any activity occurred overnight.
